SKIN BLEACHING

Skin bleaching, skin whitening, organic skin whitening, organic skin care, herbal whitening…. all join. Whatever name you call it, it’s simply known as bleaching.

Skin bleaching is the trend of the day, we now live in a society where our skin colour is no longer appreciated. Every lady wants to be fair in complexion believing that only the light skinned are the beautiful ones to whom attention is given. Fact be told, your skin colour is not a criteria to get attention. Instead, focus on who you really are, build your charisma, it tells a lot about you rather than the trendy organic bleaching.

Nothing is organic about skin bleaching. though, we all have our choices to make but I won’t stop saying the fact that those collecting your money to help you whiten or bleach your skin won’t be there when you are suffering from it (skin cancer) so before you decide to bleach or whitening your skin, it is necessary to know the side effect.

Skin whitening creams are often used to address problems associated with hyper pigmentation, including melisma, acne, scars, dark spots and uneven skin tones. Traditionally, these creams were formulated using synthetic ingredients like hydroquinone and mercury. These ingredients are both effective bleaching agents as they supress the formation of melanin. Melanin is the pigment that darkens or tans our skin.

However, studies have shown and proved that these ingredients can be toxic to the body and can impair normal body function if used for a very long period of time.

In my next article, I’ll give proper details about the side effect of skin bleaching.
